## Take an assessment

Start your journey by choose one of the model policies to take a self-assessment. These assessments can be completed by one or more members of your city's organization. Once started you can simply save and exit if you need to come back to a question before submitting the assessment for scoring.


## View results and recommended actions

Once an assessment is submitted, your city's results will be displayed. Your city will receive a score out of 100 and you will be able to see the average results from cities in your region. Depending on your answers on the next step you will see a list of recommended actions and the related resources to help guide you to complete that action. Select the actions your city would like to prioritize.


## Track and implement your action plan

Create a simple timeline to track the actions that are selected. This can help your city set long-term goals and improve your city's Smart City policy maturity. The Model Policy and related resources will help guide your city towards successful implementation of the recommended action. The G20 Global Smart City Alliance has a network of subject matter experts and city leaders that are ready to support your city along the way. Once an action is complete, mark as complete in the action progress page and your city's score will be updated.
